As you’ve probably already gathered by the numerous times I’ve mentioned Christmas decor in my previous posts I am so excited for Christmas this year! I started decorating on November 3rd, (I tell my husband it’s because it’s my duty as a home decor blogger…jury’s still out on whether he bought it!) and I haven’t looked back since! This year I have the pleasure of being a part of this fun Christmas Blog Hop with 7 other talented home decor bloggers!
There’s pretty much nothing that I don’t love about Christmas. My boys are old enough to put their own Legos together at this point, there’s hysterical laughter that echos through the house as the kids watch Home Alone for the 800th time, we eat, laugh and spend time with family and it makes my heart happy.
To add to the coziness of the season I decided to go very neutral with my decor this year and I have really loved the way it has turned out! OK, enough jibber jabber…lets take a little Christmas Home Decor Tour, shall we?
This year I wanted to give our home a winter wonderland feel. Lots of whites, faux fur pillows, and greenery. I added texture with different types of ornaments, fabrics, and by adding some distressed wood touches with the flocked branches and sweet little churches that flank the fireplace.
For the Christmas tree I used a combination of sparkly silver ornaments, white wreaths, faux berry sprigs, mercury glass balls and faux snow between the branches!
I picked up two of these sweet little churches at the At Home Store this year to set on top of the built-ins on either side of the fireplace. I placed a LED candle inside each and they are so cozy looking in the evenings when the lights are off!
The coffee table got some pretty decor as well! With the addition of this glass cloche filled with faux snow, gorgeous silver glass Christmas trees, and sweet faux magnolia leaf wreath (that you can shop HERE) the tabletop is complete!
I found these perfect neutral Christmas Pillows (shop those HERE) while I was at our local grocery center and they go so well with my more neutral theme this holiday season!
For the mantel I kept it simple with flocked branches, garland decorated with berry sprays and silver glittery ornaments, an adorable pom pom garland and these sweet faux fur and knit stockings ( you can shop a similar look to these stocking HERE).
I dressed up our entry with this gorgeous wreath (shop this wreath HERE) that I found on sale last year at Hobby Lobby. It is so pretty and is dressed up with pinecones, lambs ear, and mini birch log bundles.
Our entry table and banister got a festive makeover with a lighted garland and these pretty lighted twig Christmas trees (Shop those HERE).
The Formal Dining Room took the decorating cake this year! I used some pretty untraditional elements when decorating this area, but the black and white buffalo check fabric and galvanized tray ended up looking really beautiful in this space! Those sweet ceramic houses can be found HERE and HERE and mini tabletop Christmas tree HERE.
One of my very favorite things in this room has to be these amazing paper stars that I found at IKEA (find those HERE) for under $8 each! They are whimsical and fun and they are a major statement! This 4ft flocked twiggy tree was such a steal from Walmart and you can shop that HERE!
I added these sweet little dessert cups (found HERE) from the Hearth and Hand Line at Target to the tablescape and they look amazing with my black and white theme!
To complete this Christmas Decor Tour I wanted to give you a quick glimpse at our kitchen! With the addition of some greenery, table settings and cute flocked tree this area looks simple and festive!
For a simple table setting I used these pretty, textured black and white striped fabric napkins, sprigs of greenery and fun wooden star ornaments. You can shop the napkins HERE (the white star ornament was also a Target find, unfortunately I could find the item online to provide you with a link.)
